Hi, we haven’t posted here for a while but we’re still here!

The fishing club has a new updated website, still a few hiccoughs but working on it, you can find us at clubturossfishing.com.au.

Our latest Goblet competition results:

The April 2021 Monthly Goblet Competition
The target species was Drummer and the Goblet was held over the weekend of April 9, 10, 11. A cold front moved across the coast on Saturday and made the fishing onshore and offshore fairly uncomfortable for many people.
Despite that, sixty five fish were entered as part of the competition by fifteen fishers. Six of those were ladies, eight were men and one keen male junior.
The Goblet was won by Merv. Roberts with a Drummer at 38 cm and 83.3 points.
The mens division
Offshore was won by Bruce Kennedy with a Morwong at 50 cm and was awarded 110 points.
Rock and Beach went to Merv. Roberts with a Bream at 46 cm and awarded 170 points.
Lake and Estuary was taken by Neil Alexander with a Bream 31.7 cm and gained 74.7 points.
The ladies division
Offshore
Racheal Kennedy won this with a snapper 51.5 cm with 101.6 points
Rock and Beach was not awarded
Lake and Estuary
Sandra Backhouse took out this prize with a Garfish at 26.5 cm and earned 118.4 points
Juniors
Ben Dart won this division with a Bream at 30.5 cm and gained 66.7 points.
The mystery fish was #7 (by random generator) which was a Flathead closest to 50.1 cm and was won by Jeanie Dixon with 50.3 cm.
The turkey of the month was also not awarded.
The May Goblet will be held over the weekend of May 8, 9, 10 and the target species will be Snapper.
Congratulations

to all those that caught and entered fish and to the category winners.
