The Tuross Head men’s golfers played in the monthly medal round this week.
Played as a stroke and putt competition over three grades the event is the highlight of the month.
Stephen Walker was the winner of the A grade with a nett score of 67.
George Studham filled second placing with 69 and David Schmid was third with 70 strokes.
B grade winner was Steve Collins with 67 strokes followed by Richard Wharton 70 and Ian Manton finished third with 72.
Nigel Barling was the best of the C grade players with 67, Graeme Bell’s 69 placed him in second place and Chris Cox finished third with 71.
Colin Houghton returned the best lowest off the stick round of 74 strokes.
Balls were awarded down to 74 strokes.
The Golden Shot award was won by Al Gannon with3.19 m.

Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade player Paul Ferguson on the 4th with 2.23 m.
Colin Houghton on the 6th with 3.10 m and
George Studham won the 7th 3.00 m.
B grader Wayne Fullerton was best on the 4th hole with 1.85 m.
Jim Wade scored on the 6th with 2.38 m and
John Phyland was best on the 7th with 8.12 m.
C grade golfer Terry Milliken scored on the 4th with 3.28 m. and
Laurie Kelly was awarded the 6th with 5.70 m.

Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Robert McDonell with 41 points ahead of
Bruce Lidbury, Desmond Jackson and Paul Rowe who all finished with 39 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Brad Doolan and Herb Muriwai.
