A close competition in the Tuross Head men’s Saturday stableford event this week resulted in a win for golfer Greg Smith, who emerged from the veteran golfers ranks, to win the main Saturday stableford event with an excellent score of 41 points. Ian Kingston’s 40 points won him second place, ahead of Greg Ware and Graeme Sindel, who both handed in cards of 39 points.
Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Michael Hogan with a high score of 42 points. Shirley Quinlan and Neil Mather filled the minor placings both scoring 38 points ahead of Richard Wharton and David Williams 37 points.
This week we pay tribute to Nigel Barling. Nigel distributes the prizes for the weekly golf match. Instead of a covid safe pole of 1.5 metres that he attaches the vouchers to he has a 3 metre long pole.
