Tuross Head monthly medal round, held over three divisions, resulted in many low scores by the competing golfers.
The A grade medal was won by well know south coast player, and Tuross Head member, Brad Doolan with a net 68 score. This was the lowest net score of the day. Brad was closely followed by Paul Ferguson with 69 and Stephen Walker with a net 70.
B grade medal winner was Greg Booth, who won with a score of 69 strokes, ahead of Ian Kingston with
70 and Peter Hogan 71 net strokes.
Nigel Barling was the best of the C grade players and he returned a card of 70 net strokes.
Shane Gschwend and Herb Muriwai, both with 72, filled the remaining positions.
Balls were awarded down to 76 strokes.
Nearest the pins were won by A grade players Brad Doolan on the 4th hole, Adam Husband on the 6th and
Ian Lawson on the 7th.
B grade golfer John Phyland was closest on the 4th, Peter Hogan won the 6th hole and Steve Collins the 7th.
In the C grade division Shane Gschwend was the best on the 4th hole and Rod Bowron won the 6th and Mike Allen the 7th.
Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by visiting up and coming young golfer Lachlan Nordsvan with 45 points ahead of Steve Swanbury 38, Graham Moore and Bob Hay who both scored 37 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Peter Mostyn, Ron Rogers and Ian McManus.
