On what was a beautiful spring morning a good field of 56 players registered for this morning’s Stroke and Putts event, the game also being the second and final round of the Vets annual championships. Winners of the day’s round were as follows:
1st: Leonie Snodgrass with an impressive nett 31, showing she’s back to top form.
2nd: Kay McLeod on 32 after a three way count back.
3rd: Michael Kermode , also on 32 on count back, saving some face for the male players.
Ball or Chocolate:
Sandra Hanlon on 32, Paul Pereira, Derek Hoare and Les Johanson all on 33, Neal Watson the lone 34, Chris Wratten, Anna Heuston, David Williams, Jeanette Miller and David Munro on 35, with the final prize going to Steve Johnston on 36.
After a two way count back Tony Crook was declared this week’s winner.
Henry Anderson won with 12 putts over 9 holes on count back from Les Johanson also with 12 putts for the round.

6th: Peter McRae.
Ladies 7th: Kay McLeod.
Men’s 7th: Stephen Crossling.
Frank Pomfret took out the award this week.
Next week’s event will be a Single Stableford game with registration from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area and a shotgun start at 8.30am. Next week will also see the announcement of and presentations to the winners and runners up in this years championships.
