On what was a chilly start, and the first signs of winter approaching, 52 brave souls registered for this morning’s Single Stableford event. Results on the day were as follows:

1st: Rene Robertson returning to golf after a layoff with a score of 21 points after count back.

2nd: Chris Wratten on 21.

3rd: Kay McLeod also with 21.

Ball or Chocolate:

Kevin Dukes and Alan Gannon, the last of the 21s, Noel Downie, Ken Brown, Ann Ware, Paul Pereira, Teri Swanbury and Warren Hodder all on 20 points, followed by Ray Downey and Noel Fletcher on 19.

Bradman Award:

Rick Brake was the winner of the infamous award this week.

Nearest the Pins:

4th: Ian Miller, in the hole.

6th: Warren Hodder.

Ladies 7th: Leonie Snodgrass.

Men’s 7th: Kevin Dukes.


Chris Wratten hit a straight, long drive down the centre alongside the string line to take out the award this week.

Next Week:

Next week’s game is a Special Par event, a game unique to Tuross Vets golf where a score below handicap can be rewarded with multiple plusses, and is a game favouring the higher handicap golfer. Registration is in the downstairs sports bar area from 7.45am with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
