On a day punctuated by burning off smoke and blue skies, a field of 62 players registered for this morning’s Par event. Results were as follows:
1st: Graham Pratt with an impressive score of +5.
2nd: Les Johanson with +4.
3rd: Paul Pereira on +3.
Ball or Chocolate:
Paul Green, Ann Ware, Andrew Gordon, Stephen Crossling, Henry Anderson, Ken Brown and Leonie Snodgrass all on +2, Tim Starr, Terry Lunn, Greg Smith, Tony Crook and Steve Johnson on +1, and finally Frank Pomfret and Mike Birks on square after a count back was required.
This week’s win went to an out of form Margaret Downey.

There is no Vets golf next Wednesday with the course being closed for Anzac Day commemorations. The next game on Wednesday 2 May is a Single Stableford event, also being the third and final round of the Elaine Jennings trophy for lady players. Registration is from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
