On what was a particularly warm morning for this time of year a field of 50 players registered for this morning’s 2 Person Ambrose event, with the field also vying for the Phyllis Starr “Tin Cup” played for on a quarterly basis. Results for the morning were as follows:
1st: The highest handicap pairing of Paul Green and Patrick McNeile with a nett score of 31.25.
2nd: Allen Gannon and Michael Kermode with a nett 31.75 after hitting 37 off the stick.
3rd: Teri and Steve Swanbury with 32.25.
Ball or Chocolate:
Greg Thornton and Richard Kelly on 33.5, Paul Rummery and Kevin Dukes together with Henry Anderson and Errol Soden, both teams on 35.0, and finally Les Johanson and Tim Starr, together with husband and wife pairing Ian and Annette Manton, with both final teams scoring 35.5.
This week’s Bradman award was won by the pairing of Peg Nevett and Derek Hoare.

4th: Ian Manton and Ron Lunt were both in the hole for two, with Ian Manton winning bacon and eggs on the toss of a coin.

Michael Kermode took out this week’s Accuracy award with a fine, long drive alongside the centre string line.
Next week’s game is a Single Stableford 3 club event where players are permitted to carry only 3 clubs, one of which must be a putter. Registration is from 7.45am in the downstairs sports bar area with a shotgun start at 8.30am.
