THCC Ladies’ Golf Opening Day Four Person Ambrose 4/2/20

By |2020-02-10T16:19:08+11:00February 10th, 2020|

There was a very good roll up for our Opening Day Four Person Ambrose. It was a lovely smoke free day which was a welcome relief from the horrific bushfires of recent months.

Congratulations to the winning team of Leonie Snodgrass, Marie Murawai, Elsa Shearer and Jenny Gray who narrowly defeated
the team of Teri Swanbury, Annette Manton, Ann Challender and Gayle MacAlpine.
Nearest The Pins were won by Kathy Crossling, Leonie Doolan and Annette Manton.
Many thanks to our Sponsors, The TUROSS Boatshed. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Ladies Golf were very sad to learn of the sudden death of Lyn Benger. Lyn has been a long time member of our Club and will be sorely missed. Lyn won our gold Medal last year and has been a regular member of our Pennant team for many years. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Lyn’s family and friends.

We also learnt that Kay McLeod another long time and valued member of our Club suffered a stroke and is in Canberra.
Sadly we were to learn that Kay died the next day. It is hard for us to comprehend that we have lost two beautiful ladies in the same week. Our sympathy goes to Kay’s husband, Alan and all their family and friends.
