Tuross Head men’s golf stableford competition this week resulted in a win for Joel Hilliard.
Joel had a score of 41 points and won on a countback from Glen Shearer.
Well known district golfer Colin Houghton filled third place with 38 points.
Robert McDonell and Richard Wharton, who both also scored 38 points, filled the remaining award
positions.
Balls were awarded down to 32 points.
An Irish 4 Ball competition held in conjunction with the single stableford event resulted in a win for
Reg Apps, Bob McDonell, Ron Rogers and Glen Shearer with a total score of 93 points.
Two end of the year annual events were also determined this week with John Phyland winning the 2019 Eclectic competition ahead of Colin Houghton.

Colin Houghton though emerged as the winner in the annual Scoty competition with Al Gannon the runner up.
Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfers John Phyland on the 4th, Colin Houghton on the 6th and
Steve O’Shea won the 7th.

B grade best was Paul Scholze on the 4th, Reg Apps won the 6th and Peter Garn won the 7th hole.
Mick Elfar was best on the 4th hole and Steve Johnston was closest on the 6th hole.
Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Roger Chappell with 41 points beating Stephen Swanbury on a countback.
Colin Houghton filled third placing and Jim Wade followed with 39 points.
Nearest the pins were awarded to Trevor Jones on the 4th hole, Greg Booth on the 6th and Stephen Swanbury on the 7th.
